Job Description:

The role will be responsible for supporting the Bank and Sales Initiated Account Closure process in APAC as well as managing related enquiries. The function involves the notification outreach to sales team and clients timely.  It includes but not limited to coordination with operation teams for the closure execution and the respective stakeholders in the relationship teams.  This role will interface with a wide range of regional and global business partners including client coverage teams, AML partners, Fulfillment, Service and Operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

• To conduct research and background checks on client KYC status, including coverage team contacts

• Provide timely notification to client coverage team and track the progresses for each closure process end to end

• Prepare client letter and account closure packages for review

• Ensure accuracy of the content and adopt the checker process as part of the APAC account closing governance

• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders including local Operations to send formal client notice or to close account in the banking system for the 12 branches

• Handle queries, provide guidance on exceptional requests, and ensure timely escalations

• Track and update Monthly Metrics and Report

• Continue to explore Operational Excellence and Automation opportunities

Desired Skills:

• Deep understanding on the local regulation and legal practical documentation behaviors of the 12 jurisdictions.

• Knowledge of both FATCA and CRS Tax Regulations will be preferable

• Knowledge and experience with KYC program and AML requirements.
