This position provides a great opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) business and become a key player in a thriving commodity trading firm.

With direct access to the front-office business, you will be collaborating with experienced traders and software engineers to design the best tools and systems; quickly developing skills in software engineering and the Azure Platform, keeping you at the forefront of the industry.

As an LNG Front Office Technical Analyst, you will:

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate: Work with traders and analysts to deliver and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Adapt and Innovate: Utilize technologies such as Excel, Python, C#, SQL Server, Databricks, Service Bus, Signal-R, Angular, Azure services, PowerShell/Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, DevOps, Bicep, etc.
  • Understand Context: Grasp the broader context of requests to deliver maximum value.
  • Develop Robust Systems: Build high-quality systems using automated testing, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • Learn and Own: Gain a deep understanding of LNG Trading operations and the full trade lifecycle.
  • Support: Provide 3rd line production support for systems developed.
  • Deploy Solutions: Work with the IT Operations/Infrastructure team to deploy solutions sustainably.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proficiency in building performant Excel applications using Power Query, Excel formulae, VBA, VSTO, Excel DNA.
  • Working knowledge of the .NET framework (C# .NET/.NET Core, WCF/gRPC, or ASP.NET Core Web API).
  • Proficiency in Python and understanding of its ecosystem's limitations.
  • Experience in modern web development ecosystems like Angular or React,
