Company Overview

Our client is a prestigious 5-star hotel seeking a passionate Demi Chef/ Chef De Partie / Junior Sous Chef to join their culinary team. Kitchen openings include All Day Dining, Banquet (Western), Pastry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a range of dishes within your designated kitchen/station in accordance with the hotel's standards.
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes meet the highest standards of the hotel. Monitor portion control and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Implement food safety practices to ensure the wellbeing of guests and colleagues.
  • Manage ingredient inventory and requisition supplies as needed. Assist in conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
  • Work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Share knowledge and mentor junior culinary staff.

Requirements

  • Relevant culinary certification
  • Experience in a 5-star hotel environment will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 5-days work week must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
  • Location: Central
