Senior Sales Executive

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for existing and new business activities for domestic market and/or assigned territories which includes attending to customers' communications on pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and coordination of major issues.
- Accountable for sales, profitability and growth and ensures the company's working capital objectives are met.
- Responsible for supporting and helping customers to be successful in achieving their operational, quality and productivity goals. Optimizes the company's internal processes to provide reliable and differentiating services to customers.
- Develop and strengthen good working relationships with accounts and business partners at all levels. Accountable for active management of relationship with Key Accounts for long-term profitable and sustainable growth.
- For customers to be handled by a third party, until key partner(s) are identified and a permanent business model formulated, to mentor and support the Senior Commercial Specialist (SCS) on customers.
- Accountable for compliance within his/her scope of work and/or influence.
- Ensure that customers' forecasts are conveyed to operations, working with Logistics Department.
- Gather and report updated market information with internal stakeholders in a timely manner This shall include but not limited to development of customer portfolio, competition identifications, new business opportunities and development of market landscape.
- Responsible for timely reporting of business performance, updates and projects.
- Responsible for commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by the immediate Manager from time-to-time.
- Must be able to lead presentations, proposals and plans as necessary.
Requirements:
- Diploma and above in any discipline, preferably in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering areas.
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales and marketing of chemical products/ solutions, preferably dealing with MNCs, into any of the following areas:
- Water treatment & power utilities and companies,
- Semiconductor, wafer fab manufacturing plants,
- Chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing plants,
- Food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants, and
- Marine sectors
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Additional experience in sourcing, procurement, product management, contract negotiation and customer service will be highly preferred but not a must.
- Able to make regular customer calls and visits plants (which may require physical fitness to walk/climb stairs of reasonable distance/height) when required.
- Understanding of technical terms and concepts - especially related to chemical, chemistry, water treatment and fluid transfer.
- Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking of English language is a must. Chinese, Malay and/or other languages will be highly preferred for communication with customers from various backgrounds.
- A valid driving license and own vehicle will be preferred but not essential.
