The National Institute of Education invites suitable candidates for the position of Executive with the Finance Department.
Responsibilities
As part of a team which handles payroll and claims for the Institute, your responsibilities will entail the following:
- Handle monthly payroll processing, including statutory contributions and tax filing for part-time lecturers.
- Assist with payroll-related payments to full-time staff, including resignation payments, education allowances and other miscellaneous payments.
- Collation and submission of claims for government-paid leave.
- Process overseas travel and online/local conference claims using SAP Concur.
- Attending to accounting matters for conferences and restricted funds.
- Computation of liquidated damages for Staff Development Scheme.
- Assist in ad hoc areas from time to time.
Requirements
- A Polytechnic Diploma preferably in Accountancy or its equivalent.
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of working experience in handling payroll.
- Organized and meticulous in handling numbers and data.
- A team player with good working attitude and is willing to learn and adapt.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
- Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
- Familiar with the local employment guidelines e.g. Employment Act, CPF regulations and Income Tax requirements.
