Position overview

In Hitachi Asia FIBU, we have been delivering IT solutions to BFSI's in Singapore and other countries in this region. We are searching for a qualified Project Manager to help us accelerate the expansion of our business. The ideal candidate will have production experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans. The Project Manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our goal of innovation is being achieved.

Job role & responsibilities

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Engage in proposals/pre-sales activities in collaboration with the sales team to pursure for new opportunities.
  • Conduct pre-sales activities in complexed and bespoke projects. Requires consultant-like move to gather client requirements appropriately and propose matching solution for the client

Requirements

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • Acquired professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Project Manager for IT projects in banking or any related field.
  • Experienced in Bespoke projects where you need to start from working closely with customer and clarify/understand the user requirements. (Beyond simple projects like DC migration, server upgrade, etc.)
  • Has working experience as System Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Broad knowledge and skill around system infrastructure. (Windows OS, Linux, Oracle Database, Vmware, Hardwares (Servers, Storage), Network, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge in System Monitoring and Operation.
  • Possess good project management skills and has the ability to organize project management documents (Project Planning, Issue management/tracking, Task progress management (Todo/Status/Timline), minutes of meetings, etc.)
  • Must have excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers, colleagues and vendors.
  • Has the experience and ability to conduct the hands-on tasks during the management of IT infrastructure, Windows OS, Oracle Database, Vmware, etc.
  • Has effective presentation skills.
  • Ideal to have advance proficiency in English and Japanese to support Japanese-speaking clients but not complusary.
