Job Scope:

  • Be familiar with the AEPS curriculum and is able to administer the assessment components and record the results prudently.
  • Develop effective Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), using the AEPS curriculum and information gathered from parents using the AEPS Family Report together with a transdisciplinary team to implement individualized goals for each child and help each child achieve his/her maximum potential using any necessary support and accommodations.
  • Create lesson plans for group sessions that incorporate the goals identified from the IEP into activities that will be conducted during the sessions.
  • Required to conduct group sessions for children from 3 to 9 years of age who will be grouped according to their abilities.
  • Write comprehensive reports and update progress charts after reviewing and evaluating each child's progress periodically.
  • Serve as a Case Manager for the children assigned to them.
  • Conduct and facilitate meetings with parents and staff regarding intervention and makes necessary adjustments to the plan as needed throughout the year.
  • Plan, organize and implement field trips
  • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Special Education/Early Childhood/Early Childhood Intervention
  • Experienced as a Special Education Teacher/Allied Educator in Learning and Behaviour Support
  • Working experience with young children with learning difficulties
  • Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a good command of spoken and written English
