Job Summary

The individual must possess a passion for floral design. His/her responsibilities include engaging with guests to understand their needs and preferences, to provide expert guidance on flower choices and design options to meet their expectations. Ensure a clean and organized workspace, encompassing the flower storage area, design studio and floral shop. Stay abreast of evolving floral design trends and techniques, be receptive to customers' feedback and preferences to deliver tailored and up-to-date floral designs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hotel management, events teams and any other department to ascertain and understand the flowers and designs requirement for relevant events which includes festive theme decorations, such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, National Day, Easter, Halloween, etc.
  • Make corsages, bouquets, wreaths and wedding decorations, as well as other kinds of original designs.
  • Curate and source the finest flowers and materials, considering factors such as color, texture, size, scent and overall quality, to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Create and develop innovative designs and a portfolio to showcase to potential guests.
  • Assist with the setup and placement of floral displays at the floral shop/event venue.
  • Check in with guests on their preferences and requirements, so as to design the customized floral arrangements to meet their expectations.
  • Maintain an accurate record of floral arrangement orders, special requests and delivery details.
  • Train the floral team to achieve the desired standards of floral products, for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Certification in floral design will be an advantage.
  • Proven floral design experience.
  • Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles and flower conditioning.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with effective communications and customer service skills.
  • Artistic, creative and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
