Trader - Crush

This role will be a part of the Destination Crush Value Chain where the role is responsible for the soybean purchase, position management, pipeline management, position and PnL reconciliation for Crush Asset in Vietnam. The incumbent of the role will be accountable for day-to-day soybean crush desk hedging and trading strategies execution, to maximize returns on the asset.

Main Accountabilities:-

Origination

• Responsible for monitoring and reporting soybean premium price movement/availability, handle purchase for Crush assets, Food Bean business and negotiate contract terms
  Maintain close commercial relationships with existing suppliers and developing new contacts
  Manage soybean pipeline under one value chain model to meet Crush requirement while balancing origin logistic capabilities
  Collaborate with Distribution/Marketing, Industrial and Logistic team to align Crush and Food Bean plan and identify soybean requirement

Pipeline Management and Commercial Execution

• Liaise with Freight team on freight purchase and manage freight exposure
  Follow up on soybean imports execution, including liaison with sellers and communicate timely with Asia and Vietnam logistic and execution team to avoid execution risk
  Maximize potential pick-ups and cost savings from logistics and constantly evaluating tradeoffs when making decisions

Risk Management

• Coordinate with sales and production team to align and drive capacity utilization target and maximize returns
  Contribute to hedging and trading strategies and identify cash/flat/spreads risk in crush position book and provide solutions
  Identify and implement sourcing strategy to create higher value to the PnL
  Close alignment with Accounting and Trade Administration on monthly PnL reconciliation and PnL forecast

Market Intelligence

• Further expand connection in market to collect and share information for better decision making around our strategies
  Work with global research team to ensure market information and outlook are updated timely
  

Job Requirements:-

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5 - 10 years' experience in agribusiness commodity industry
• Good knowledge and understanding of the physical flow and futures (options and derivatives) on Soy complex
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to be a part of the 'Commodity business'
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
