The Job
As a Sports Journalist, you are expected to cover tournaments and sporting events, gather facts and information through research and interviews, and file news and feature stories in a clear, concise and interesting way in print and on digital platforms.
Requirements
. Degree in relevant fields, preferably with prior working experience in news reporting
. Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English, with excellent writing and conversational skills as this role is for a Chinese publication
. Strong interest and passion in sports news and current affairs
. Self-motivated, driven, reliable and possess an inquisitive mind with a nose for news
. Able to work independently as well as collaborative across teams
. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and adapt to changes and irregular working hours
. Basic photography, videography and video-editing skills would be advantageous.
