Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager

Our Creative department is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager to join the team in Singapore to cover maternity leave for a 7-8 month period. The suitable candidate must have at least 8 years' experience in interior design, specialising in retail spaces.

You are the right person for this job if you feel comfortable leading design projects,, you are in your element when managing multiple projects simultaneously, and you are comfortable presenting your work to stakeholders of varying levels.

Daily duties/responsibilities

. Leading the concept creation for projects, providing: idea generation support images design sketches compiling strategic design presentations, contributing to the development of shopper experience and engagement ideas and 3D renderings to communicate design solutions.

. Leading/contributing to internal and client meetings, workshops and presentations.

. Reviewing team 3D Renders & Technical Drawings before they are sent to the client ensuring the output follows brand guidelines and vendor packs.

. Leading the development of internal 3D design standards and ensuring that design policies, procedures, standards and philosophies are adhered to on an ongoing basis.

. Collaborating with the Client Services, Graphics & Communication departments to ensure seamless coordination of projects and the weekly studio schedule to ensure timeliness on all 3D projects.

. Providing advice to team members when it comes to selecting appropriate materials and designs with an understanding of construction techniques.

. Producing Technical Drawings (if within skillset) ensuring they follow brand guidelines and vendor packs.

. Following internal design standards ensuring that design policies, procedures, standards and philosophies are adhered to.

. Playing a key role in internal and client meetings, workshops and presentations.

Qualification criteria

. 8+ years' relevant working experience in commercial interior design.

. Strong knowledge and application of creative 3D software. In your application, please detail which 3D software you are comfortable using.

. Extensive experience working with contractors and manufacturers, including site experience.

. Experience in a small-to-medium sized agency is an advantage.

. Sketching capabilities will be viewed favourably.

. In-depth experience working with global consumer brands. Experience working with luxury brands will be viewed favourably.

. Candidates should be aware that they will be required to work with alcohol brands (it is not a requirement to drink alcohol at any stage during the contract, however, a large number of our clients are in the alcohol sector and this position will be required to work on projects involving alcohol brands).
