Assistant Kombucha Brewer

Location: Mandai Foodlink, Singapore
Status: Full-time
Reports to: Head Brewer

Job description:

The assistant brewer working with the Head Brewer will have responsibilities in all areas of kombucha brewing operations.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with brewhouse operations (i.e. first ferment, second ferment, transferring, circulation, tank management etc.).
• CIP/Sanitization on all vessels (fermenters, kettle, and brite tanks).
• Mesh baskets cleaning including removal of fruits/herbs.
• Troubleshooting, technical maintenance and quality assurance.
• Kegging.
• Occassional deliveries with company van.
• Maintaining cleanliness of brewery, and premises in general.
• Continual development of ones own knowledge about kombucha and brewing.

Key skills and requirements:

• Some knowledge and understanding of the kombucha brewing fundamentals and processes.
• Homebrewing experience is a must.
• Requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage one's self and work in an efficient manner and interact with other team members effectively and professionally.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast paced, wet, loud production environment on one's feet for most of the day and repeatedly lift 25kg.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime with occasional evenings and weekends.
