The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us as Program Manager (Research). The candidate will be part of Indonesia-NTU Singapore Institute of Research for Sustainability and Innovation (INSPIRASI), a joint research consortium betweenfounding university partners, NTU, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Beyond its role as an education hub to facilitate knowledge creation and transfer between NTU and the four Indonesian universities, INSPIRASI is an innovation hub of cutting-edge technology, with a research focus on sustainability, particularly in renewable energy, circular economy and smart cities.

The candidate will support the Programme Director in managing the research activities within the programme, ensuring synergistic and collaborative research within three research pillars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily operational and administrative management of the programme
  • Oversee programme office renovation
  • Manage and plan programme budget, establish forecasts, and monitor expenditure against budget
  • Prepare/consolidate periodic programme level financial reports, slides, updates as required by the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Oversee claims, procurement and asset management at programme level
  • Provide administrative supports including scheduling, meeting coordination, facilities booking, office logistics, minutes taking, record keeping, and document management
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls
  • Coordinate and/or support faculties and researchers visits between NTU and partner Universities (e.g. making travel booking, preparing visit programme, etc)
  • Update programme website and social media on regular basis (e.g., events, publications news etc)
  • Support the planning, organising and managing research events of the programme (including technical symposiums, seminars/webinars, talks, etc)
  • Administrative support for student exchange


Job Requirements
  • A recognized Bachelor's or Master's in Science or Engineering or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Experience in technology development/ research / education setting is preferred
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and multi-stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a diverse, international, and inter-disciplinary research environment
  • A good team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
