Research Engineer I

Singapore NTU (Nanyang Technology University- Main Office-HR) Full time
We are seeking a Research Engineer to join a university-level research centre collaborating with industry. The position is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will be involved in a project that is related to 3D Environment Modelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create immersive 3D environments and VR
  • Translate 2D designs into 3D spaces
  • Optimize environments for performance and aesthetics
  • Design and texture object models independently


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in relevant disciplines
  • Proficient in Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Cinema 4D
  • Strong portfolio with diverse environmental models with a robust understanding of complex scene spatial and proportional relationships
  • Knowledge of procedural generation and optimization techniques
  • Preferably to have experiences as the lighting specialist to achieve cohesive and compelling environments
