Software Test Engineer
Job Type: Contract:2 Years
Location: East, Singapore
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to drive end-to-end software testing and test automation across the development lifecycle. The role will focus on ensuring software quality, improving test efficiency, and implementing automated testing within modern DevSecOps environments.
- Manage end-to-end testing, including test planning, requirements analysis, test case design, execution, and defect management.
- Conduct functional, integration, UAT, performance, and basic security testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions using scripting/programming languages.
- Maintain requirements traceability, identify test gaps, and improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive timely defect resolution.
- Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps/CI/CD environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on test reviews and quality assurance and prepare test documentation and user guides.
- Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum5 years of relevant experiencein software testing and test automation.
- Minimum3 years of testing experience on Windows OS.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, embedded systems, or cloud-based testing is an advantage.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; software testing certification is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in test automation, scripting/programming, API, performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps/CI/CD tools such as Jira, Xray, Confluence and GitLab CI/CD, with knowledge of microservices and API security testing.
