Vice President Procurement

As a highly experienced Vice President - Procurement at Karamtara Engineering Ltd, you will be responsible for leading and managing procurement operations, focusing primarily on capital equipment and capex purchases. With at least 20 years of expertise in procuring high-value capital assets, industrial machinery, and raw materials for large-scale projects, you will play a crucial role in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization for critical capital investments.Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, driving cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and contract optimization. You will lead procurement strategies for high-value capital equipment, industrial machinery, and infrastructure investments, ensuring cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality, reliability, and long-term asset performance.Furthermore, you will be expected to manage global supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms, negotiate long-term agreements with OEMs and suppliers to optimize procurement costs, and mitigate risks associated with capex procurement, supply chain disruptions, and vendor agreements. Leadership, mentorship, and management of a high-performing procurement team will be essential in fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring financial efficiency and cost control.To excel in this role, you must possess proven expertise in global procurement for large-scale brownfield and greenfield projects, strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities for high-value procurement contracts, exceptional leadership skills, and proficiency in procurement management software and tools.
