Job Description

SIA has multiple positions for junior and senior data scientists to drive our AI, data science, and business analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Be a member of an in-house AI and data science development team working on AI (including generative AI, autonomous agents, NLP, computer vision, and recommender systems), mathematical optimization, game theory, and experimental design.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create impactful features/services in AI, data science, and analytics. Develop scalable ML/DL solutions and deploy them as API microservices for use by applications and business users to facilitate faster decision-making.
  • Supervise external technology partners, provide datasets, and support the assessment and deployment of prediction models in production environments.
  • Work with application development teams to operationalize and integrate AI/ML capabilities into API microservices.
  • Note: You may be posted to any subsidiary within the SIA Group.
Requirements
  • BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related fields; PhD and MSc degrees in machine learning or AI are preferred.
  • Intermediate programming skills in Python, familiarity with algorithms, data structures, SQL, and experience with languages like Scala, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C# is a plus.
  • Experience with big data processing systems like Spark and Kafka.
  • Relevant internship or industry experience as a data scientist/AI engineer, with proficiency in shallow/deep learning (referencing "An Introduction to Statistical Learning" by Gareth James, 2023). Additional skills in LLMs, GPU frameworks, Bayesian statistics, and cloud platforms are advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies is a plus.
