Roles & Responsibilities

Core Technical Responsibilities

Architecture Design: Create high-level and detailed solution architecture diagrams using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or ArchiMate.

Cloud Platforms: Design and implement solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP — including networking, security, compute, storage, and IAM configurations.

Application Integration: Define API architecture (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), middleware integration (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi), and microservices communication patterns.

Security Architecture: Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption strategies, firewall rules, and zero-trust models.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on in Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates for automated provisioning.

Containerization & Orchestration: Architect and deploy Docker and Kubernetes clusters, including scaling, service mesh, and monitoring.

Data Architecture: Design data pipelines and storage solutions (RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Lakes, ETL tools).

Performance & Scalability: Implement load balancing, caching strategies, and auto-scaling policies.

Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Define RPO/RTO objectives and architect failover solutions.

DevOps Enablement: Integrate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) into solution delivery.

Monitoring & Observability: Set up centralized logging, metrics, and tracing (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog, Splunk).

Required Technical Expertise

Minimum 8 years in solution architecture, system design, and technology implementation.

Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — certification preferred.

Proven experience with enterprise application integration and distributed systems design.

Familiarity with security compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, BGP, TLS/SSL).

Preferred Certifications

Cloud: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect.

Security: CISSP, CCSP.

Architecture Frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman.
