Part time security officer

1. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Job Title: (West Area) Part-Time Relief Security Officer (Morning/Night), 12-hour shift
• "One shift (12-hour workday): $176. Shifts may be scheduled during the day or night and follow a rotating system. Monthly schedules are assigned by the company and are not fixed. The number of working days may vary each month. Thank you for your understanding.

• Job Description & Requirements:
  • Working Style:
    • This is not a fixed work schedule; you will inform us of your availability in advance and work on those days.
    • However, for the first month of employment, you will be required to work the Saturday and Sunday morning shifts (7am - 7pm) to get accustomed to the job.
  • Represent the school in a courteous and professional manner, as security officers are often the first point of contact for visitors.
  • Be stationed at the main entrance security point and remain on duty until a formal handover is completed with the next shift's security officer.
  • Guard, patrol, and monitor the premises to prevent theft, violence, and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure all buildings are securely locked at the end of each day and unlocked in time for morning operations.
  • Allow access to authorized personnel as needed.
  • Direct and control vehicle and bus traffic on campus and the main road in accordance with campus parking restrictions and established procedures.
  • Ensure all students have left the campus after the school-ending music is played.
  • Check the identity of all visitors and issue visitor passes in exchange for photographic identification. Maintain accurate records of visitor entries and departures.
  • Stay alert and have a clear understanding of emergency procedures, and understand the roles and responsibilities of security officers during emergencies.
  • Collaborate with the Admin office in charge, keeping them informed of any security-related concerns.
  • Be prepared to support the team by covering the duties of other security officers during their absence.
  • Maintain and update the security log as needed.
  • Report any security-related issues to the Security Supervisor.

Security Systems

• Monitor fire alarm systems and report faults or emergencies to superiors or relevant authorities, including SECOM/DECAMS.
• Supervise elevator operations (Dormitory), CCTV, access control systems, and other alarms or equipment.
• Assist with card access issues when necessary.

Health & Safety

• Conduct routine safety inspections.
• Assist with entry control as required.

General & Administrative

• Assist visitors and staff by calling taxis if needed.
• Represent the campus as a friendly and service-oriented organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Admin office.
• Requirements:
  • Valid PLRD License is required.
  • Only Singaporean/PR can apply.
  • Physically fit for patrolling and other duties. Able to walk/Run in 2 min from Guard Post to the FCC.
