About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director / Assistant Director / Senior Manager to develop and lead the learning academy within the Gain City group of companies.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the end-to-end operations for a scalable learning academy aligned with Singapore's vision. You will lead the design and execution of training programmes, ensure full compliance with regulations and build a high-performing team to plan and deliver impactful lessons. A key part of the role is to drive continuous improvement in educational outcomes and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations, national schemes and masterplans related to training providers and lifelong learning
  • Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable business model for the learning academy
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including leading contract negotiations where necessary
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of planners and trainers to ensure effective programme design, delivery and operational excellence
  • Oversee the development of course offerings aligned with market and organisational demands
  • Explore and evaluate opportunities to diversify the academy's offerings beyond the initial scope of courses
  • Review and optimise existing processes and organisational structures to improve efficiency and enable automation

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, learning and development or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in learning and development or workforce training
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is preferred
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and operational excellence
  • Strong experience in cost management, budgeting and leading efficiency initiatives
