Roles & Responsibilities

Role Purpose:

Designs and runs daily programmes aligned with the 5 AAC domains.

Builds relationships with seniors, encourages participation, and supports social well-being.

Programme Key Responsibilities (Core):

  1. Integrate the 5 Domains into programme design (Cognitive, Physical, Social, Nutritional, Tech/Digital).
  2. Plan and facilitate daily activities (Blocks A & B)
  3. Coordinate weekly & monthly rotational programmes
  4. Conduct post-programme feedback and evaluation.
  5. Ensure inclusivity (bilingual, mobility-friendly activities).
  6. Maintain programme attendance records for AIC submission
  7. Source and brief guest facilitators/speakers
  8. Prepare materials for workshops and activities
  9. Maintain database of facilitators, volunteers, and resources.
  10. Recruit and brief volunteers (including senior volunteers) to support daily and thematic programmes.

Train senior volunteers to co-facilitate simple activities (games, storytelling, sharing life skills).

Befriending Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and engage seniors daily
  2. Keep case notes of seniors requiring extra support.
  3. Monitor seniors' moods and report concerns
  4. Coordinate with external Social Service Agencies (SSA) for referrals.
  5. Recruit and train volunteer buddies for outreach and home visits.
  6. Train "senior buddies" or volunteers to sustain befriending activities.
  7. Mentor senior volunteers to spot early signs of neglect, loneliness, or depression.
  8. Conduct home visits for isolated seniors
  9. Flag safeguarding issues (abuse, neglect, loneliness or depression) to Centre Manager.
  10. Pair seniors with suitable volunteers for companionship.
  11. Lead social activities like karaoke, chat circles
  12. Support outreach efforts in the community

Secondary Duties

· Assist Centre Manager with reporting and KPIs.

· Support Befriending Officer in social activities (karaoke, sharing sessions).

· Cover admin desk during peak periods.

· Assist Admin in registration and record keeping.

· Help Program Health Facilitator with large health events (ushering seniors, briefing volunteers).

Coving Duty: To cover Admin job when he/she is on annual leave.
