Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Process to lead and manage the Process Engineering Department for our FPSO projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all process design, development, and optimization activities while ensuring technical integrity, safety, and compliance with project and industry standards. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Leadership: Lead the Process Engineering team, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality deliverables across all project phases.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for process engineering activities to align with project and company objectives.
  • Process Design & Optimization: Oversee the development of process designs, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and process simulations to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Technical Assurance: Ensure technical integrity and compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Project Support: Provide process engineering support during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Risk Assessment: Lead process safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL assessments, ensuring adherence to process safety standards.
  • Resource Management: Manage department resources, including workload allocation, recruitment, and staff development.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new technologies to enhance process efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project management, operations, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Ensure process engineering activities are executed within budget and project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in FPSO or offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of process design, simulations (HYSYS, Aspen Plus), process safety, and industry standards.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills for complex process engineering challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • HSE Focus: Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
