<p><h3>Job Responsibilities </h3> <p>To lead, coach and maintain a high level of operational efficiency including quality care and service standards and also required to participate in projects relevant to elderly care as well as develop further through continuing education. </p> <h3>Management </h3> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and management of the Nursing Department. </li> <li>Supervise and ensure that care staff provide and meet expected care standards and customer servicing </li> <li>Do discharge planning </li> <li>Oversee the multi-disciplinary team consisting of Nurses, Nursing Aides, Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapy Aides and Care Staff </li> <li>Responsible for the compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) and Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) </li> <li>Prepare staff duty roster, leaves administration etc </li> </ul> <h3>Patient Care </h3> <ul> <li>Analyze trends and changing needs of the residents in institutional settings. Plans nursing care based on changing trends </li> <li>Operationalize and monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to step-down care </li> <li>Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care </li> <li>Oversee the administration of treatment prescribed for residents </li> <li>Plans and conduct therapeutic programs for patients </li> <li>Conduct or make arrangements for health education, counselling for residents and their family members </li> </ul> <h3>Training and Professional Development </h3> <ul> <li>Teach, mentor and supervise nursing staff in their clinical practice </li> <li>Conduct regular clinical training and competency assessment for nursing staff to ensure clinical compliance </li> <li>Perform clinical nursing audits and suggest interventions for, initiate and participate in clinical quality improvement in care delivery outcome </li> <li>Develop training materials and lesson curriculum when required </li> <li>Assist in collating of training data and evaluating training effectiveness </li> <li>Participate actively in medical products evaluation </li> <li>Participate in nursing research, where required </li> </ul> <h3>Job Requirements </h3> <ul> <li>Hold valid registration with SNB </li> <li>At least 2 years of relevant experience as Nurse Manager </li> <li>Possess strong leadership and people management capabilities </li> <li>Possess excellent clinical knowledge and nursing expertise </li> <li>Proficient in computer applications and systems relevant to clinical and administrative work </li> <li>Candidate with more years of relevant experience may be considered for senior positions </li> <li>Able to work on-site either in Bukit Panjang or Bukit Merah Home. </li> </ul> </p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
