Roles & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant / Logistics Coordinator will be transacting inventory movements, monitoring inventory levels, traceability, and identifying, classifying, and finding the root causes of inventory inaccuracies. Manage freight arrangements for inbound and outbound and address KPI failures. Give feedback and possible solutions to manager for eliminating further discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for transacting and monitoring all material transactions for assigned area(s).

· Review suppliers' transactions, inventory reports and post entries into SAP

· Ensure DN creation / PGR / PGI activities for transactions for sales / hub returns / part rework / sorting conversions is completed on time

· Collaborate with planners to create and verify Delivery Notes (DN) ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Maintain close communication with planners to understand shipment requirements, timelines, and special instructions.

· Ensure all necessary documentation (such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin) and labels is prepared and available for shipment processes.

· Arrange shipments (cross-border trucking, courier, sea, and ocean freight) by liaising with suppliers and customer appointed or Jabil 3PLs

· Manage customer portal for shipment arrangement, including any changes to schedules, products and packing configurations

· Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange timely and cost-effective transportation.

· Schedule pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to shipment timelines and customer requirements.

· Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.

· Handle any discrepancies or issues related to documentation and resolve them promptly.

· POD management for all inbound and outbound shipments

· Responsible for identifying, resolving, and finding the root cause of delays, damages, discrepancies and other related inventory errors and work closely with 3rd party warehouse and Planning Team for resolution

· Review cycle count figures according to company criteria and provide monthly inventory reconciliation report to finance on workday 1

· Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation process and provide regular reports to management.

· Maintain accurate records of shipment statuses

· Assist in the development and implementation of any materials or freight management systems that will enhance inventory control and visibility at Jabil

· Lead defined solutions from a logistics/freighting/transportation perspective to ensure correct execution at operational level

· Recommend changes that will eliminate or greatly reduce inefficiencies and/or inaccuracies from reoccurring.

· Identify opportunities to optimize shipping routes, consolidate shipments, and reduce transportation costs.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and systems.

· Be able to interface with all departmental supervisors, support functions, program management, and other pertinent functions within Jabil

· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by Manager.

· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English and Chinese as need to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders. Knowledge of Thai language will be an advantage but not a requirement

· Good mathematical skills

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma required and fresh or two years related experience and/or training; Bachelor's degree preferred; Certification by related professional organizations is preferred.
