JOB DESCRIPTION

The Deputy Director of AI Software Engineering will provide technical leadership to a team of developers, delivering scalable AI-related platforms, products, and solutions for the client. This role serves as the highest-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AI technologies, responsible for coaching and mentoring the team, establishing engineering best practices, and ensuring high-quality delivery of solutions in AI modeling, machine learning, sensor integration, data fusion, and system integration. In addition, the Deputy Director will support the client through expert consultancy in AI and digital technologies across domains such as Adversarial AI, Computer Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI, and other emerging technologies.


• Develop a technology roadmap for AI product teams, leading the customization and development of platforms, products, and solutions across various AI domains.

• Regularly review and shape the client's AI and digitalization roadmap with a clear understanding of their current AI capabilities and gaps.

• Lead the in-house development of AI technologies that can be deployed across multiple platforms for operational use.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise the team on technical approaches to optimize accuracy and processing requirements.
  • Guide the team in adhering to industry best practices in Software Development, Engineering, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and MLOps.
  • Support the team in evaluating and co-developing AI modeling, machine learning, integration, testing, and product management.
  • Provide engineering leadership and technical consultancy to the client and partner agencies as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in AI and digital technologies, across domains such as Adversarial AI, Computer Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI, and other emerging AI technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in the public sector is an added advantage.
