Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Perform microbiological laboratory specific methods on materials or finished products, special projects or specified testing as directed
  • · Prepare reagent/media preparation, sample collection and identification, sample testing and reporting result
  • · Perform accurate recording of analytical results in worksheet and highlight any deviation in quality and safety to superior timely. Assist troubleshooting to find out the root cause of deviation
  • · Perform routine lab maintenance, including but not limited to lab cleaning & sanitization, lab environmental monitoring and lab equipment maintenance
  • · Conduct sampling at internal and external warehouses and incoming raw materials as required.
  • · Participate in quality control, problem solving, continuous quality improvement activities and assist any out of specification investigation
  • · Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures; actively contribute to a safe working environment.
  • · Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • · Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are welcome.
  • · Minimum Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
  • · Prior experience in microbiological testing within the food industry is an advantage.
  • · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • · Strong communication and interpersonal skills​
