Applicants will need to have knowledge ofconsumer trends and the lifestyle issues which surround, impact andinfluence consumers in the region.

As part ofthe Syndicated research team, you will study and build expertiseacross a myriad of industry sectors. As you continue to build yourexperience, you will have the opportunity to sharpen your areas ofindustry expertise and work with respective heads of industries andwider regional and global teams to further the research agenda,strengthen client relationships, and providecountry/regional/global strategicanalysis.

How do Analysts / SeniorAnalysts make an impact?

Analystswill build expertise in consumer goods and services industries byconducting trade dialogue with key industry stakeholders, workingwith central data sources and engaging in data analysis and marketreporting. Their work will contribute directly to Euromonitor'ssyndicated database - Passport - that informs and guides ourclients' strategy across product categories, industries andgeographies.

Analysts will be tasked withbuilding expertise across three core areas:
  • Direct research and project management to establishmarket estimates for category sales, brand and company performance,channel distribution, and more
  • Creatingactionable insights in both published and presentationformats
  • Engaging with regional clients and thewider global industry
Analysts /Senior Analysts work as a team under the supervision of theirResearch Manager.

Keyresponsibilities
  • Update existing anddeveloping new sections of datasets and reports for Passportindustries
  • Primary research, in direct andregular contact with key industry players to build data and trendsfor the purpose of advancing Passport's country levelunderstanding
  • Secondary research, to gatherpublished information across a variety of source types such ascompany financials, official statistics, trade press, brokeragereports, etc
  • Work seamlessly with central datateams to provide updated sources, to verify and provide feedback oncentrally produced data
  • Produceinsights-driven content and report writing at the country,regional, and global levels
  • Client-facingresponsibilities and provide client support, responding to data andcontent queries, and insight exchange requests, etc
  • As expertise develops, key responsibilities will evolvefurther to include strategic industry analysis, client meetings andpresentations, industry presentations and liaison (such asconferences), and other industry relatedwork
Proficienciesrequired
  • Research track record,proven in gathering primary input from industrystakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize multiplesources of information for data analysis andinterpretation
  • Trend identification, analysisand report writing
  • Keen desire to engageindustry stakeholders and build research contacts
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English,superior communication skills
  • Proficiency in aSoutheast Asian language as a value add
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to managingworkloads
  • Strong attention to detail andtenacity
  • The ability to work independently andunder pressure to tight deadlines
  • Deepintellectual curiosity, possess a strong sense of personalresponsibility for continued improvement, coupled with a drive tobecome a recognized industry voice
