Bank Teller (Client Relations Associate)

Job Overview

The Client Services Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by assisting clients with account-related transactions, time deposits, inquiries, and after-sales services. The role involves efficiently and accurately handling over-the-counter financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, foreign currency exchanges, remittances, and other related services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Banking Operations:

  • Conducts start and end-of-day banking activities to ensure smooth operations.

2. Transaction Processing:

  • Handles cash and check deposits, withdrawals, encashments, foreign currency exchanges, remittances, and

other related over-the-counter transactions, with decision-making authority for amounts up to S$30,000.

3. Time Deposit Management:

  • Monitors time deposit maturities and collaborates with clients to confirm instructions for their accounts.

4. Client Interaction & Product Promotion:

  • Provides clients with detailed information about the institution's products and services, offers tailored solutions, and actively cross-sells relevant banking products.
  • Engages with prospective clients to explain offerings and assist them with account setup.

5. Marketing Support & Client Liaison:

  • Supports marketing efforts by organizing and participating in events, interacting with clients, and promoting services.
  • Acts as a Liaison Officer for Singapore-based clients

6. Compliance & Security:

  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding system access and passwords.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies, Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) regulations, Data Privacy laws, and the institution's service quality standards.

7. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supports Loans and Treasury Operations when required.
  • Manages small projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in banking, financial services, or customer service roles, preferably in a front-line or client-facing capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations, client inquiries, and marketing responsibilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive client and company information.
  • Immediate availability or a short notice period is an advantage.
