Roles & Responsibilities

Automation Specialist designs, develops, and maintains automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity within an organization. They analyze existing workflows, identify areas for automation, and implement solutions using various tools and technologies. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as expertise in areas like scripting, cloud technologies, and automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyzing and optimizing processes:

Identify and analyze current business processes to pinpoint areas where automation can be applied to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

· Designing and developing automation solutions:

Create and implement automation workflows using programming languages (like Python, Ruby, or Java) and automation tools (like Jenkins, Puppet, or Ansible).

· Testing and troubleshooting:

Thoroughly test automated systems and processes to ensure they function correctly and address any issues that arise.

· Maintaining and supporting systems:

Ensure automated systems are up-to-date, secure, and running smoothly. Provide technical support to users who interact with these systems.

· Collaborating with stakeholders:

Work with business users and other IT teams to gather requirements, align automation efforts with business needs, and communicate progress.

· Staying current with technology:

Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies, including cloud computing, AI, and machine learning, and apply these to improve existing systems.

Required Skills:

· Technical skills:

Proficiency in programming languages, automation tools, and cloud technologies.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills:

Ability to analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop effective solutions.

· Communication and collaboration skills:

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and work effectively in a team.

· Attention to detail:

Ensure accuracy and reliability of automated systems.

· Adaptability and willingness to learn:

The field of IT automation is constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt to new technologies and learn new skills is essential.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in related fields
  • Proficient in scripting, especially Google
  • Strong in process engineering
