DRAFTER & DOCUMENT CONTROLLER

Job Summary

The Drafter & Document Controller will prepare detailed engineering drawings and manage all project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution. The role supports engineering, procurement, and project teams in delivering high-quality instrumentation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Create and revise 2D and 3D technical drawings for process instrumentation systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

· Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical data to produce accurate drawings.

· Prepare layout drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and panel layouts.

· Collaborate with engineers to ensure drawings meet project and industry standards.

· Establish and maintain document control systems for engineering and project documentation.

· Receive, log, track, and distribute technical documents, including datasheets, manuals, certifications, and vendor documents.

· Ensure all documents are properly filed, version-controlled, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

· Prepare document transmittals and maintain up-to-date document registers.

· Support audits and inspections by providing accurate documentation.

Qualifications

· Diploma in Engineering or related field.

· Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

· Experience with document control systems (e.g., SharePoint, EDMS).

· Experience in the process instrumentation or industrial automation industry.

· Familiarity with ISO standards and QA/QC documentation.

· Knowledge of P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrumentation symbols.

· Experience with project documentation for EPC or turnkey projects.
