CCDS invites applicationsfor multiple positions of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, eachrequiring industry and/or academic experience in one or more of thefollowing, or closely related,areas:

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitatesand conducts all teaching assignments, both face-to-face andvirtual delivery.
  • Develops, designs, andcontinuously improves curriculum plans, course outlines, coursecontent, evaluation procedures and instruments to foster studentlearning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure studentengagement.
  • Develops an instructional plan(known as a course outline or syllabus) for the course(s) theyteach and ensures that it meets college and schoolstandards.
  • Supports course administration suchas course coordinatorship, course evaluation, online coursematerials, attendance records, academic counselling on studentprogress.
  • Conducts assessments, marking andgrade entries, feedback to students, student consultations,non-academic matters etc.
  • Develops coursematerials (including but not limited to lectures, tutorials,laboratory work, assignments and projects, quizzes, tests andexaminations) and learning resources for course delivery andsupport students' learning.
  • Provides regularcourse and student progress statistics for reporting and strategicdecision making.
  • Conducts competentundergraduate and graduate level teaching, including academicsupervision of undergraduate and graduate students andprojects.
  • Demonstrates values and principles ofprofessional conduct in all endeavours.
  • Carriesout assigned service duties to the School, University and thepublic at large.
  • Any other assignedduties
Requirements:

Candidatesshould be passionate about teaching and learning, hold a PhD or atleast a Master's degree in related disciplines, and have excellentcommunication skills. The College seeks individuals who haverelevant industry experience and demonstrable university-levelteaching ability to educate the next-generation leaders inComputing and Data Science.
