Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

As a Non-Medical Masseur, you will be responsible for providing relaxation and therapeutic massage services to clients in a spa, wellness center, or similar establishment. You must be available to work on public holidays, weekends, and during night shifts to accommodate the diverse scheduling needs of our clientele.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Interaction: Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable. Discuss clients' needs and preferences to customize massage sessions.

2. Massage Therapy: Perform a variety of massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and sports massage, to address clients' physical and emotional well-being.

3. Health Assessment: Conduct preliminary health assessments and inquire about any medical conditions or injuries that may impact the massage session.

4. Maintain Clean and Sanitary Workspace: Ensure that massage rooms and equipment are kept clean and sanitized for every client. Change linens and replenish supplies as needed.

5. Client Records: Maintain accurate records of client information, including preferences, treatment notes, and any contraindications for massage.

6. Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional appearance, behavior, and ethical standards at all times, ensuring clients' confidentiality and trust.

7. Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for massage therapy, including proper body mechanics to prevent injuries to yourself and clients.

8. Schedule Flexibility: Be prepared to work on public holidays, weekends, and during night shifts to accommodate the availability of clients. Be flexible with your scheduling as needed.

9. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns and ensuring their overall satisfaction with the massage experience.

10. Self-Care: Take care of your own physical and mental well-being to ensure you are in the best condition to provide massages. Avoid overexertion and follow a self-care regimen to prevent burnout.

11. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about different massage techniques, products, and trends in the wellness industry to offer the best possible experience to clients.

12. Upkeep of Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain massage equipment, ensuring it is in good working order. Report any issues to the appropriate personnel for repair or replacement.

13. Continuing Education: Stay up to date with the latest developments in massage therapy by participating in training and workshops. Maintain required certifications and licenses.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Non-Medical Masseur.

· Valid certification or license in massage therapy.

· Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and their benefits.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Physical stamina to perform massages for extended periods.

· Availability to work on public holidays, weekends, and night shifts.

· Professional appearance and demeanor.

· Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.

· Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

· Flexibility and adaptability to varying client schedules.

· Willingness to continuously improve and learn in the field.
