With recent Singapore Government announcements on thedevelopment of World Class facilities at Kallang, increasedinternational events, enhanced high performance support and withSEA Games being hosted by Singapore in 2029, it is an exciting timeto be in Sport in Singapore.

Over the past fewyears, Singapore Gymnastics has hosted the 2023 Senior and JuniorArtistic Gymnastics Asian Championships and will be hosting the2025 Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships. This pastyear, we achieved our first ever podium placings at the 2024 JuniorArtistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in both men and women. Inaddition, Singapore Gymnastics will be producing a new businessplan for FY2026-2029.

Singapore Gymnastics isoffering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individualto join the team focused on improving international performances ofSingapore Gymnasts on the international stage. It is important thatSingapore Gymnastics maintain a prominent presence to enthuse andencourage more young people to take part in gymnastics, to unitethe nation and inspire the SingaporeSpirit.

TheRole

The Rhythmic GymnasticsNational Head Coach will work closely with the PerformanceDevelopment Manager (PDM), Performance Director (PD) and TechnicalAdvisory Council (TAC) to enhance the performance of gymnasts atthe RG NTC, developing long-term and annual plans for athleteprogression, including talent recruitment and transitions. Theywill create training schedules aligned with the FIG Code of Points,recommend competitions, and provide coaching in technical,physical, and psychological strategies while monitoring athleteprogress.

The coach will ensure discipline,well-being, and injury management for gymnasts, support theNational Programme, assist in talent identification, and lead coacheducation initiatives.

Additionally, they willprepare performance reports, mentor national coaches, communicateeffectively with stakeholders, and foster relationships within thegymnastics community, while adhering to Singapore Gymnastics' ChildSafe Commitment Statement and performing other duties as assignedby Performance Director.

Thesuccessful candidate will:

1.Performance Development

• Implement thePerformance Development Plan in collaboration with thePD.

• Develop training programs that tailorstechnique, physical preparation, artistry, and routine execution toalign with our performance plan.

• Monitorathlete progress to ensure continuous improvement and alignmentwith international performancestandards

2.Training and CompetitionPreparation

• Design yearly and long-termtraining plans tailored to the needs of athletes at differentstages.

• Prepare gymnasts for majorinternational events, ensuring routines meet FIGrequirements.

• Foster a culture of discipline,resilience, and continuous development within the RGNTC.

3.National Training Centre (NTC)Development

• Support the transition to clearentry/exit criteria aligned with long-term athletedevelopment.

• Implement planned increases intraining load and agreed exam leaveframeworks.

• Assist in the consolidation oftraining locations, with a long-term goal of centralizingoperations at Kallang.

4.Performance DevelopmentCollaboration

• Work closely to enhance sportscience and medical support.

• Coach Developmentto elevate the expertise of local and national-levelcoaches.

• Engage with affiliated clubs,international federations, and competition organizers to maximizeathlete opportunities.

5.Athlete Success andProgression

• Ensure RG NTC athletes qualify forthe National Squads (Junior and Senior).

•Prepare gymnasts to compete successfully incompetitions.

• Drive long-term athletedevelopment, ensuring pathways exist from junior to seniorlevels.

The ideal candidate will have thefollowing characteristics and qualifications:

•Proven experience in high-performance rhythmic gymnasticscoaching.

• Strong technical expertise in RGtraining methodologies and the FIG Code ofPoints.

• A strategic mindset, capable ofdeveloping long-term performance frameworks.

•Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability toengage and inspire athletes, coaches, andstakeholders.

• A commitment to athletewell-being, safety, and ethical coachingpractices.

• FIG Coaching Academy Levelcertification (preferred).

4.High-PerformancePreparation- Equip gymnasts with the skills and mindset needed toqualify for finals in major competitions, with a focus on achievingpodium finishes in the long term

5.StrategicGrowth of NTC- Align RG NTC operations with SG's long-term vision,including centralized training locations and expanded athletesupport services
