Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and mature researcher with a background in applied

virology. The successful candidate will work with the team on development of antiviral drugs

and vaccines against HFMD, dengue and so on.

Major duties and responsibility of the position include but are not limited to:


• Assist in general lab maintenance and procurement.


• Culture cells and generate knock-in/knock-out cell lines.


• Detect and quantify virions, viral genome and/or viral proteins using various techniques

(e.g., PCR, western blot, immunofluorescent assay).


• Evaluate the immune responses of small animals infected by viruses.


• Analyse data and prepare reports.

Requirements:


• MSc / BSc in immunology, microbiology, virology or a related field.


• Prior experience in animal and virus handling is advantageous.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative research team.


• Good written and oral communication skills.
