Roles & Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems (pressure, temperature, level, flow, etc.).
  • Plan and allocate daily work tasks to the instrumentation team, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Monitor the quality of work to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, PLCs, and DCS systems.
  • Troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control systems, and provide technical solutions on-site.
  • Coordinate with engineering, electrical, and mechanical departments for inter-disciplinary activities.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of calibration tools, testing equipment, and safety devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of loop checks, calibration records, and test reports.
  • Enforce safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilties:

  • Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, and DCS.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures, standards (e.g., ISA), and testing equipment.
  • Experience with commissioning, loop checking, and functional testing of instruments.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and permit-to-work systems in marine environments.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and team supervision skills.
