We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive (Ocean Freight) to join our logistics operations team. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating sea import shipments, ensuring smooth and timely cargo movement while maintaining full compliance with safety and documentation standards. You will liaise with various stakeholders including customers, carriers, warehouse partners, and internal departments to deliver high-quality service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all activities related to Sea Import shipments.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled and that documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Adhere strictly to Workplace Safety & Health procedures.
  • Deliver tasks with accuracy and efficiency by consistently managing costs, timelines, and service quality.
  • Prepare and process accurate and timely import documentation and declarations (e.g., HB/L, MBL, manifest, pre-alerts), including customs declarations and TradeNet submissions.
  • Carry out general shipping operations and maintain accurate system data entries.
  • Coordinate shipment-related matters and resolve any arising issues.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, trucking partners, and overseas offices to ensure smooth pickup and delivery.
  • Keep customers updated and ensure all documentation is correct and aligned with their requirements.
  • Handle billing processes and ensure timely collection of charges from consignees or their agents.
  • Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up on issues such as shortlanded, damaged, or discrepant cargo with CFS warehouse or overseas offices.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and manage complaints in a professional manner.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, verify vendor costs, close shipment files, and handle document filing.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including customers, warehouses, carriers, depots, trucking companies, insurers, and customs as per shipment needs.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ocean freight operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good analytical thinking, proactive mindset, and strong team spirit.
