Roles & Responsibilities

AsiaOne is seeking a Social Media Manager/Senior Manager (Digital Amplification & Content Creation) to join our Digital Amplification team. In this role, you will lead a team in propagating AsiaOne's news and video offerings through content amplification and original, engaging native content production. If you're a creative thinker, a skilled copywriter, with a flair for visual content creation, AsiaOne is the place for you to showcase your talents.

Your Mission

As a Social Media Manager/Senior Manager, you will play a key role in shaping AsiaOne's presence on various digital platforms. You are responsible for ensuring AsiaOne's social media strategies are in alignment with AsiaOne's strategic direction. You will lead your team in:

  • Content Creation & Visual Storytelling: Researching, conceptualising, and crafting dynamic social media content – including memes, infographics, and short video edits – that captivates and engages our audience.
  • Platform Management & Growth Strategy: Overseeing AsiaOne's presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok by curating, moderating, publishing, analysing, and optimising content to enhance visibility and audience engagement.
  • Short-Form Video Production: Shooting and producing impactful TikTok videos at press events and media previews, bringing AsiaOne's storytelling to life through compelling visuals.

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in driving social media content and strategy; experience in translating news into social media content is a plus
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, graphic design or a related field.
  • Outstanding communication and copywriting skills with demonstrable proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Resourcefulness and creativity to drive success and inspire the team.
  • Active engagement and familiarity with social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
  • Proficiency in social analytical platforms and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Proficiency in graphic design (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, iMovie, Premiere Pro).
  • Adaptability to flexible and dynamic working hours in a newsroom environment, and willingness to work on weekends, and public holidays as needed.
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Comfortable with on-camera appearances is a plus.
