We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Interior Design Manager to lead our design team and oversee the successful execution of interior design projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design aesthetic, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team. You will be responsible for developing design concepts, managing budgets, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring the highest quality of work.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Vision:

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design vision for all projects.
  • Create innovative and functional interior design concepts that meet client needs and project objectives.
  • Stay abreast of current design trends and industry best practices.

Project Management:

  • Oversee all phases of the design process, from concept development to installation.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure quality control.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of interior designers and support staff.
  • Assign tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding new design staff.

Client Communication & Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Conduct client consultations to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Present design concepts and proposals effectively.
  • Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.

Technical & Administrative Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain furniture and finish standards.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications.
  • Manage budgets and procurement processes.
  • Utilize design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in high-end residential or commercial interior design.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
  • Proficiency in design software (E.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Experienced in budgeting and procurement skills.
