Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plastics Moulding Supervisor to lead and manage day-to-day operations of our injection moulding lines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent output of high-quality automotive plastic components in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Supervision

  • Lead and coordinate daily injection moulding activities to meet production targets.
  • Manage manpower allocation and machine operations across multiple moulding lines.
  • Monitor cycle times and output efficiency, ensuring adherence to production schedules.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet stringent automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Collaborate with QA teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Support investigations into quality issues, including root cause analysis and customer complaints.

3. Moulding Process Management

  • Oversee mould setup, start-up, shutdown, and parameter optimization.
  • Troubleshoot process and machine issues to reduce downtime and scrap.
  • Continuously improve process stability and product consistency.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of technicians, operators, and material handlers.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and 5S standards.
  • Manage shift handovers and performance evaluations.

5. Maintenance Coordination

  • Ensure execution of daily machine maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Work with maintenance teams on preventive and corrective maintenance for machines and auxiliary equipment.

6. Safety & Workplace Excellence

  • Enforce safety procedures and PPE compliance across all work areas.
  • Promote 5S practices and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen).
  • Report, document, and participate in investigations of any incidents or near-misses.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on injection moulding experience, preferably in automotive or high-precision plastics manufacturing

    In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and related quality tools
  • Proficient in operating and setting up moulding machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop a production team.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities, with a solution-driven and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, shift-based manufacturing environment.
