Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior IT Consultant in IT Security, you will play a key role in safeguarding our clients digital infrastructure. You will support the planning, implementation, and management of IT security initiatives, ensuring robust defences across all platforms, particularly in cloud environments.

This is a 3 year contract position with a potential to further extend / convert to a permanent headcount. The benefits offered are in-line to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure and manage cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Huawei Cloud.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT security policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
  • Conduct security assessments on existing systems to ensure protection against emerging threats.
  • Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and secure code reviews, analyzing findings and identifying effective remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to provide security consultancy and assurance for IT systems.
  • Drive and facilitate IT security awareness programs, including phishing simulations and incident response exercises.
  • Monitor and follow up on security risks in coordination with the IT Governance team and other IT departments.
  • Investigate cybersecurity alerts and threat intelligence reports to assess root causes, containment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead incident response efforts, conducting investigations to improve incident handling and future prevention.
  • Apply knowledge of tools and technologies such as EDR/XDR, DAM, MDM, Microsoft AIP, VMS, CASB, SWG, SASE, ZTA, PAM, IAM, MFA, NAC, and Red Teaming techniques.
  • Stay abreast of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to strengthen security posture.
  • Oversee security projects and manage procurement, renewal, and implementation of security services and tools.
  • Provide detailed security reporting to the management and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as CSA and MOE.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Information and Cyber Security.
  • Solid experience in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS).
  • Familiarity with standards/frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001/27005, MTCS, CSA SB, PDPA; knowledge of Government IM, ISO31000, PCI-DSS is an added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, CHFI, or CREST are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and a strong collaborator with a positive attitude.
