Cloud Infrastructure Lead – Job Description
Role Overview:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Lead, you have led the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud environments supporting critical platforms across Singapore. With deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, observability, and cloud security, you've driven operational excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance across multi-agency cloud operations. Your leadership spans both hands-on engineering and cross-functional collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Designed and maintained Terraform-based IaC for scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple government agencies.
  • Transitioned existing cloud resources into Terraform-managed states, ensuring consistent and auditable deployments.
  • Utilized Terragrunt to streamline modular infrastructure provisioning.
Automation & DevOps
  • Developed automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to eliminate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implemented CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy for seamless cloud resource updates.
  • Trained internal teams on IaC and automation best practices to foster a DevOps culture.
Cloud Resource Management
  • Provisioned and optimized AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, and CloudFront.
  • Managed over 150 Windows and Linux cloud servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Administered Active Directory in cloud environments to maintain secure access controls.
Observability & Monitoring
  • Engineered observability solutions for containerized workloads in AWS ECS and EKS.
  • Built log processing pipelines using AWS Lambda to aggregate logs from ELB, CloudFront, EC2, and ECS into CloudWatch dashboards.
Security & Compliance
  • Enhanced cloud security posture and compliance across government platforms.
  • Researched and implemented cloud-based network security solutions tailored to public sector requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborated with multiple vendor teams and government agency stakeholders to align cloud strategies with operational goals.
  • Acted as Facility Management (FM) lead for cloud operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day performance and issue resolution.
