Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking passionate and approachable Mat Pilates Instructors to join our squad at "As We Move." As an instructor, you will lead and inspire individuals of all fitness levels through engaging and effective Mat Pilates classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead a variety of Mat Pilates classes.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for beginners
  • Demonstrate and ensure proper exercise techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio
  • Participate in or promote member community events
  • Conduct both group and private classes as needed.
  • Provide feedback to clients based on their performance in class.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Mat Pilates instruction from a recognized organization.
  • Ability to provide modifications and variations to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • CPR/AED certification (sponsored if needed)
  • Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety.
  • Maintain open availability for a minimum of 6 classes a week

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time / Freelance position with flexible hours based on your availability, class schedules, and member demand.
  • Cozy studio environment with showers and towels for instructors.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate from $40 to $105 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Emerging instructors, versatile instructors (proficient in more than one type of class), specialty instructors, and experienced instructors are welcome.
