Job Title: Construction Project Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our construction and renovation projects. This role is critical to ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of construction operations in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision: Manage and oversee the daily activities of construction/renovation crews on-site, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve any issues related to workmanship.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety regulations on-site, conduct safety briefings, and address potential hazards proactively. Ensure compliance with Risk Assessments (RA) and submission requirements.
  • Risk Assessment (RA): Demonstrate knowledge of conducting and submitting Risk Assessments for the site, identifying potential risks, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Material Management: Oversee the ordering and delivery of construction materials, ensure proper storage, and minimize waste.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that their work aligns with project timelines and specifications.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with our Director and clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve on-site ssues, including unexpected challenges or delays, to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed progress reports for the Director and Project Managers/Executive, highlighting completed work, potential issues, and necessary adjustments.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate the team/workers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operation and high morale.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and building regulations in Singapore.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong ability to resolve problems on-site.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Risk Assessments (RA) and submission processes.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

  • Certification in Risk Assessment (RA) related to construction sites.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in a construction-related field (recognized by BCA).
  • Valid certifications for sites, such as CSOC, BCSS, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, renovation, and/or A&A projects in Singapore.
  • A valid Class 3 local driving license.
  • Strong work ethic, the ability to multitask, and a self-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience in managing foreign workers.
  • Ability to handle conflicts and work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, or outside regular working hours when required.
