Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tooling Engineer to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support across tooling design, production, and continuous improvement activities. This role involves close collaboration with toolmakers, production, design, and sales teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality tooling solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the toolmaking team to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical tooling support to the Tooling & Development (T&D) and production line to meet quality and technical requirements.
  • Support tool design and sales teams in addressing customer requirements.
  • Assist the Tooling Supervisor to ensure tool readiness for production.
  • Liaise with production and planning teams to establish priority schedules based on tooling status.
  • Work with the Design Department to implement tool improvements for greater output and efficiency.
  • Lead the tooling team in problem-solving, identifying issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and work processes.
  • Coordinate with the toolroom on machining requirements for tooling modifications and improvement programs.
  • Assist in managing the tooling group to ensure optimal allocation of resources and departmental efficiency.
  • Train, guide, and mentor toolmakers to strengthen technical capabilities.
  • Act as the Principal Engineer during his/her absence.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in tooling, machining, and stamping processes is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and process improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead a team effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
