Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong background in finance and business development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth, managing key relationships, and expanding our presence within the APAC region, with a primary focus on China. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing the company's portfolio within the finance sector.

As a key member of the business development team, you will work closely with senior leadership to support long-term strategic initiatives, build a robust pipeline of opportunities, and implement business growth strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities within the APAC region (China-focused). Create and implement effective sales and business strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, financial institutions, government bodies, and other relevant organizations.
  • Market Analysis & Expansion: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and industry developments. Provide insights to help guide strategic decision-making.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients. Act as a primary point of contact for major accounts and key clients across the region.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
  • Project Management: Manage business development projects from inception to completion. Ensure timely delivery of initiatives and successful integration into the business.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular reports on business performance, opportunities, and market insights to leadership. Help develop accurate forecasts to drive decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development within the finance sector (investment banking, financial services, fintech, etc.).
  • Overseas Experience: Proven track record of working in international markets, particularly in the APAC region with a strong emphasis on China. Previous experience in establishing or expanding operations in China is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the finance industry and market trends in China and the broader APAC region. Familiarity with financial regulations and business practices in these markets.
  • Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
    Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, close deals, and generate revenue growth.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and market conditions.
    Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
    Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (preferred but not required) and English.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel across the APAC region, particularly within China, to meet clients and partners.
