DP World is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director for APAC Security to drive the implementation of security policies, ensure compliance with international and local security standards, and uphold the DP World Group Security Management System across a diverse and dynamic region.

This role is critical in safeguarding our people, assets, and operations by leading risk assessments, fostering a culture of security awareness, and managing security integration for new projects and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure the implementation of consistent security management practices across the region.
  • Ensure regional compliance with all applicable mandatory, voluntary, and client-specific security standards (e.g., ISPS, ISO 28000, TAPA).
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of compliance requirements for all Business Units in the region.
  • Promote a strong culture of security awareness through campaigns, training, and outreach—both in-person and virtual.
  • Oversee regional traveller safety by assessing risk factors and advising on mitigation measures.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal DP World security peers, as well as local and regional agencies for intelligence gathering and incident response.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and provide security guidance for new business initiatives.
  • Perform security audits and reviews as scheduled by Group Security and Regional leadership.
  • Lead and support security projects for new businesses and acquisitions.
  • Oversee and/or support security system projects (e.g., CCTV, EACS, perimeter protection).
  • Support the integration of new entities into DP World's global security management systems.
  • Prepare and submit periodic regional security reports to Group Security and the Regional Head.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Experience of security gathered through serving in either of the following: a background as a Military Officer or Senior NCO, experience in law enforcement or police service, work in Customs, Immigration, or Border Protection, or a senior/regional security role in a large multinational corporation.
  • Proven experience working within security compliance frameworks such as ISPS, TAPA, CTPAT, or ISO Management Standards
  • Willingness to complete PFSO, TAPA, and applicable ISO training within 12 months of hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands-on experience with electronic security systems including CCTV, Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS), and perimeter protection measures
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong network of regional vendors, suppliers, and training agencies
  • Auditor training or certification is a plus
