Roles & Responsibilities

The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Infrastructure Deals will lead efforts to ensure Preqin's global infrastructure deal data is comprehensive, accurate, and relevant. This includes managing a team, liaising with regional teams across NA, EMEA and APAC, and aligning data strategies with Preqin's broader business goals. The AVP will oversee high-level data initiatives, develop innovative solutions, resolve platform issues, and drive strategic projects to enhance the quality and relevance of Preqin's infrastructure data offering.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure global infrastructure deal data is accurate, comprehensive, and delivered promptly, continuously improving data taxonomy, coverage, and alignment with evolving market trends and definitions
  • Lead strategic projects to enhance the scalability and scope of data collection, quality assurance and integration into Preqin's platform and external tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, analytics, and regional teams, to implement global data strategies while addressing regional market nuances
  • Manage and resolve customer requests, operational challenges, platform bugs, and BAU tasks to ensure optimal product performance
  • Provide industry-specific training and guidance to researchers, enhancing their understanding of infrastructure investments and data quality
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, insights, and customer service, to align data solutions with client needs and market demands
  • Represent Preqin's infrastructure data offering in client meetings, industry conferences and strategic presentations to showcase its value
  • Define and execute long-term strategies and adapt to emerging trends in infrastructure investments
  • Analyze product metrics and industry insights to guide data enhancements, strategic decision-making and product innovations

What you'll bring to us:

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in data/financial data services/ alternative assets required, alongwith knowledge of Real Assets data domain
  • Proven ability to pick up domain knowledge relevant to data and financial markets
  • People and/or project management experience
  • Ability to think critically and strategically on ways of further developing and building out data coverage, especially in the alternatives space
  • Ability to introduce change management in data as appropriate introducing technology and processes
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate communications skills with experience working with high-level executives
  • Business fluency in English is required
  • Education level – Bachelor's Degree
  • Organisational design skills are key in order to work with senior management on strategic initiatives
  • Experience in working across cultures and locations and/or in a remote management setup preferred
  • Prior experience working in or knowledge of the alternative assets industry or prior expertise within Data Management in financial services preferred
  • Experience with various workflow tools such as Alteryx, Salesforce, Outreach, Jira, Office 365, etc.
