As a Mechanical Component Engineer, you will be in charge of BoM and technical support for Pressure Safety Valves (Consolidated) and Control Valves (Masoneilan). You will also provide a global engineering support focused on Channel Partners and Aftermarket Centers for the selection, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Masoneilan and Consolidated products.

As a Mechanical Component Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing design and analysis of assigned projects to develop valves meeting customer application needs, specification requirements, complying with local design/product standards.
  • Reviewing customer specifications and "translating" customer specification in to order instructions for manufacturing of valves.
  • Providing Retrofit solutions, with bills of material, drawing information, test specifications and processing instructions to meet quality and manufacturing requirements.
  • Creating the design review process, ensuring accuracy, quality and design for manufacturability goals are met.
  • Enabling the use of design tools (like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks / ProE / UG), Excel, and in-house design calculations.
  • Engaging with sales to support the quotation activities.
  • Identifying, Own and Enable such initiatives which are in line with business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors in mechanical / mechatronics from an accredited uni, (or a diploma / GED with at least 4 yr of experience in Engineering/Technology)
  • Have 0-2 yr of Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Be proficient in SolidWorks or similar Computer Aided Design software
  • Possess knowledge of basic mechanical engineering design principles
  • Have knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies
  • Be able to work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
