Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Middleware Engineer – WAS Expert will be part of the Middleware Services team, focusing primarily on migration projects and global production service operations for middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Jetty, IIS, and MQ Series. The role involves ensuring service reliability, availability, and stability, providing expert support, driving automation, and contributing to DevOps practices to improve production environments.

Mandatory Skill-set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field;
  • Must have 5–8 years of experience in middleware technologies;
  • Must have strong knowledge of WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka;
  • Must have proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows;
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools, scripting languages, and ITIL service management;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in shifts with rotational on-call support;

Desired Skill-set:

  • Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes);
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and automation frameworks;
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP;
  • DevOps engineering background;
  • Experience in the banking or financial services domain;

Responsibilities:

  • Provide global production service operations support in middleware technologies;
