About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Spring Boot Backend Developer to work on complex banking technology projects. The selected candidate will join our delivery team, deployed at a leading financial institution. This role demands strong hands-on development skills, deep knowledge of microservices architecture, and experience in cloud and CI/CD environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java 11/17 and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable microservices with REST APIs and messaging frameworks (Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ).
  • Implement event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and real-time data integration.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, GitLab) and manage deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Integrate backend services with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), storage solutions, and databases (MariaDB/MySQL).
  • Apply best practices in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG), TDD, and clean coding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform peer reviews, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure security/compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of backend development experience, with Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Strong expertise in Kafka/MQ messaging systems, event-driven systems, and API design.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Git, GitLab) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Proficiency with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL).
  • Strong exposure to banking/financial systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Liquibase, QuickFixJ, or FIX protocol is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
